Features 101: Transactions Overview and Details Posted on August 28th

This is the first in a series of posts which will focus on the features in Scrobbld. We will discuss what problem a particular feature solves and how it does that.

Transaction List

Problem: Sellers have multiple PayPal accounts which they have to keep track of by logging into each separately.
Solution: The home screen in Scrobbld shows all the transactions that have been received from all your PayPal accounts (assuming you have already setup IPN settings in your PayPal accounts, instructions for this are shown when you log into Scrobbld, don’t worry we don’t require your PayPal details).

Export Transaction Info

Problem: Most often sellers either write the postage labels by hand or have to copy-paste the addresses somewhere else to print them.
Solution: One of the most useful features in Scrobbld is the ability to select the transactions using the checkboxes in front of them and export the info contained in those orders, for instance, to be printed on address labels or to be imported in another service. The info you’d like to export can also be determined using export templates (we will discuss export templates in a future post).

Transaction Details

Problem: Viewing transaction details usually involves multiple clicks and page loads in the browser.
Solution: Each item in the transaction list expands upon clicking to display the details of that transaction. These details include – Item(s) ordered, payment status (completed / pending / refunded / reversed / etc.), total order value, shipping cost, buyer’s address, buyer’s address status. If you would like to see some other details here also, let us know.

Other Features on Transactions page:

Color coded payment status – for easy and quick understanding.
Memo – Special notes from buyers are displayed on a ‘post-it note’.
Search transaction – For quickly find your transactions.
Automated notifiers – email is sent automatically to buyers when you receive a ‘completed’ transaction or when you export transaction info (more discussion on Notifiers in another post).
Add tracking info – Easily and quickly add tracking info (notifier is sent to buyer when you add tracking info.)
Add to SKU – add similar items in Stock Keeping units for easy stock management (more discussion on SKUs in coming posts).

If you have any suggestions for the above, please let us know.

Next post will discuss Automated Notifiers in more detail – what they do, how you can set them up and how they will benefit you.
