Features 101: Automated Notifiers Posted on September 12th
This is the second post in the ‘Features 101′ series which focuses on the features of Scrobbld. Here we discuss Notifiers.
Problem: Can be boiled down to a lack of current information. Buyers on online stores like eBay are very wary of sellers because on the odd occasion items never arrive or take a long time in coming. Result – buyers start sending emails to the sellers inquiring about their packages. Replying to these emails can be a time consuming task.
Solution: Notifiers in Scrobbld. Notifiers are emails that are sent to the buyers automatically upon actions like – receiving an order or exporting order info (for printing); and can also be sent manually on the click of a button when you dispatch the order (work in progress). Please note that these need to be activated for them to start going out.
That Personal Touch
eBay and other market place sites can be very impersonal. You buy items based upon price, and you have little or no way of knowing how trustworthy companies are. Two ways of rating the businesses’ trustworthiness are first, their feedback score and secondly, the amount of information they provide to the buyer.
As a buyer, the personal touch is the feature that really puts the icing on the cake and maybe gives you, the seller, some repeat business in the future, as it is no longer just the price that counts; it’s the customer service. So to switch on that little warm feeling within each of your buyers, Scrobbld provides you an easy way to include order information such as your buyer’s name, auction nickname, shipping address, order total and so on. These are sent out at different action points during the selling process; one when you receive a payment, and one when you export the buyer’s order information for use in, say, a label printer.
You can even, under Mailbox settings, make it look like you sent the email, putting your email address and company name in the ‘Email’ and ‘From’ fields respectively. So, no longer is it some anonymous email from PayPal, your customers know you sent it, and you are dealing with their order.
How does this benefit the seller? No more inane emails asking whether you’ve received their payment… because, of course you did, you already sent them an email.
Go ahead and set up the notifiers and start sending emails to your buyers without any extra work. Save the time that you spend replying to customer emails and keep them happy. Next post in this series will discuss Stock Keeping Units (SKU) in more detail – what they do, how you can set them up and how they will benefit you.
If you have any suggestions for the above, please let us know.
