Analytics for Scrobbld Posted on April 21st

Things have been a bit quiet around here, but for the past couple of weeks we’ve been spending some time moving some code that we had developed some time ago to the existing site. We took the executive decision to upgrade the current site in small steps, rather than trying to release one whole site developed entirely in the background. The approach has some negatives, as there are some things that we would like to change but can’t do it so easily, however it is more realistic and gets updates to our users a lot quicker!
The first couple of things that we’ve added are basic analytics for products in a dashboard style (see the link next to the ‘Transactions’ on the top page), which displays monthly sales (both for units and gross), the top five products (by week, month and year) as well as the total units sold and the total gross. There’s also a sales summary (which gives a rough estimate of your net profit; not including material costs however). We’ve also taken the time to tell you whether your sales volume is increasing or decreasing, on a monthly basis. If you sell in a different currency to your local currency, you can change your default display currency in your account settings (which we’ve briefly redesigned). You should be signed into view, but you can visit the page here: http://scrobbld.com/transactions/dashboard
We’ve also introduced customer demographics with interesting things like the percentage of customers who are male or female (you may notice that the percentages don’t add up to 100, this is because for some people we don’t actually know), as well as geographical location for packages that you’re shipping.
This is all still work in progress, but we hope you find the additional features useful. If you have any thoughts or feedback, please get in touch, or leave a message on our uservoice page at http://features.scrobbld.com/.
